Sorry Illustration Friday

Wow it's been so long since I've updated this blog.

I've got so many people wanting me to design them tattoos, it's getting a bit out of hand, once I get the first lot out of the way I should have a lot more tattoo designs and photos of them getting done to show on this blog, which is good.
Also on top of all this I've got a new job to go to, getting my drivers license and more Studies, it's gonna be a rough couple of months hehe.

The pen and ink drawing is about regret, respect and honor.

Robot Illustration Friday

I like drawing robots, as I got to this point in drawing this robot it dawned on me that it looked kind of like Iron Man, so I stopped drawing it.

Hope y'all like?

Design a skin contest for xbox360 game Kameo

Came across this contest and thought I'd pass on the info, Kameo is an Xbox360 game, this contest gives you the chance to design a character, there are 11 winning spots.
If yours is a winning entry it will be made downloadable to hundreds if not thousands of xbox live members.
Seems farely simple, with huge exposure payout.
For more info go to Xbox360 Kameo Contest

Jay Anacleto and Greg Capullo

I haven't been able to find proper websites for them, these are the closest I could get to official sites, Jay Anacleto and Greg Capullo .
Jay Anacleto is a penciller, I love his pencil work. Greg Capullo did a lot of work on the Spawn comics, his work has so much detail, I used to spend ages just soaking it in.
With both these artists I think I spent more time looking at the art work than actually reading the comics.

Just a couple more people who inspire me.

Forgotten tattoo design

Saw a friend I hadn't seen for awhile and noticed a few tattoo lines poking out from his t-shirt sleeve, I asked him if he'd gotten a tattoo, he lifted his t-shirt sleeve up and saw his full shoulder tattoo that was in progress, it seemed familiar to me and I asked him where he got the design from and he said "you". LOL I had totally forgotten I had drawn something for him. What I drew was the basic out line for the design, the tattoo artist is filling it in with patterns that pertain to my friends cultural background, She's doing a very nice job too.

Need to get some pictures.

Airbrush artist at 2hot2handle

Went to a car show yesterday and they had an airbrush artist named Tony Vowles painting the hood of a car, I spent a good 20 minutes watching him apply his technique to the hood, soaking up every little technique I could see, his work was amazing... So amazing I forgot to take some photos, he had one of Clint Eastwood and another of Bob Marley that were absolutely beautiful.
I always relish seeing artists in action applying their art, I always learn so much from it.

Oooo I don't need photos, I found the website Airbrushventuri.com , he runs courses in teaching the art.

The hood he was painting was the prize in a radio competition, I think.

Spring Illustration Friday

Looking forward to strawberries.
For me spring is a distant memory, we're goin into winter down here, I miss the sunny days so much. The image above is a photoshoped photo made to look like a pencil drawing it took me less than 30 seconds to do, when I was showed this technique I thought to myself "dang I'd better find something else to call a job" but hey as you can see from that image I don't think we need to worry.
